Good morning friends! I'm getting a really late start this morning. I totally contemplated publishing this on Monday, and then I woke up feeling ready to procrastinate today! It may make me late to work, but that's nothing new.
Since we went to my mom's last weekend, Gretchen got her new Paris themed bedspread. We came home Sunday night, and put everything on her bed! And, I love it! I still need to get two pillows for her Paris pillow shams, and buy her curtains. She wants turquoise, I want grey. We'll see who wins. We're also working on new art work above her bed, and I'm hoping we can get one of them finished this weekend.
Blogging is my favorite...... Sunday night I went on a run in 25 degree weather. Call me crazy, or nuts, insane.... I don't know, but I'm determined to get to 1,000 miles this year. I'll update soon about how I'm doing! So anyway, Sunday night after my run, I sat down to blog. And side note, but does anyone else sit like this? Maybe because I'm so short (5'2) that I hate sitting with my legs down. Even in restaurants, If I can sit criss cross, then I do.
I went to tuck the girls in and found Gretchen reading her Bible. This girl studies her Bible way more than I do and I totally need to follow her lead. She told me that she's wanting to read her Bible from cover to cover, and I can assure you that I did not give her that idea. I have always prayed that she'd have a strong relationship with God and do mission work, and it looks like she might just be on that track.
She has a big Bible, but told me that the words are too difficult to understand. She has this Storybook Bible, that you can find here, but she told me that she needs a real Bible because she's almost 8. She also has a book of prayers, that you can find here. We usually say "Now I Lay Me", The Lord's Prayer, or Prayer's from the Heart, but lately she's been reading prayers out of this book.
Monday and Tuesday I was flying solo, and had to take all of the girls to school. DJ was in San Antonio relaxing at the coaches convention, walking down the riverwalk, and visiting the Alamo.
Both days, we would get Adalyn dropped off and then swing by Panera for muffins and hot chocolate before heading to school.
Wednesday evening the weather was perfection. The girls and I got home and it was still "warm" out, so we went for a walk.
I'd let these girls run ahead on the side walk and stop at each mailbox to wait on me to catch up.
Adalyn just enjoyed her wagon ride!

And, has anyone heard about the Insta Pot??? I have friends raving about it, and now i'm curious. You can find it here. If you have it, let me know what you think! Is it suitable for a family of 5 and quick dinners???
And, then this verse came across my Bible app this week and I thought it was just perfect. I've been trying to read my Bible study more, but I'm definitely behind and going to play catch up this weekend!
Happy Friday Friends! Enjoy your 3 day weekend!
Just what I needed today.
