Friday!!!!! Woohoo!!! While this week wasn't a crazy hectic one, we are so glad that Friday has arrived!!! DJ's mom, grandfather, and aunt arrive today and we are so excited that they are coming for a short visit! We much prefer it to be longer though!
We also have a football game tonight, so after school is going to be nuts trying to get everyone picked up, home, fed, clothes changed, and right back out the door to cheer on our Hurricane!
As always, I'm linking up for Friday Favorites and sharing my favorite moments from the week!
1. Art!!!!
Adalyn seriously loves art time at school, and I love getting pictures from her teacher each day. This week, she painted a police car.
And traced the letter "C".
I don't remember if I have shared before, but just in case..... when Adalyn brings home art, I take a picture of it, upload it immediately to Shutterfly via my app, and at the end of the school year, I am going to make her a photo book of her art. I'll also add these pictures that her teacher has sent, and other pictures of her throughout the school year in school performances, dress up days, party days, etc. She'll have her own little scrapbook of her 3 year preschool.
2. Earrings!

2. Earrings!
So, changing Megan's earrings is actually not my favorite! Sunday night, we took out her earrings, and cleaned her ears, and I told her that we would let her ears "rest" overnight, and she could pick out new earrings the next morning. When Monday arrived, she had picked out little arrow earrings, but she refused to let me put them in her ear. Megan is very afraid of new situations, and can be shy and timid. Once she warms up, she's the life of the party, but she's very cautious at first. The last time we changed her earrings, DJ and I had to both hold her down to get earrings back in her ears. (Mind you, she was the one that decided to get her ears pierced.) So, I waited until she was sleeping (per my mom's advice- Hey look mom, I DO listen to you!) to put new earrings in her ear. Thankfully, she fell asleep with her light on, so I could see well :) Once I got one earring in, she said "OW!" and I think subconsciously new what I was doing. So, even though she was still sleeping, she started to cover her ears, and turn over. So, I could not get the other earring in her ear! I had to call DJ upstairs to help me. He ended up picking her up, and I was finally able to get the other earring in her ear.
As of right now, we don't plan on changing her earrings for a while! I don't want her to have a bad experience every time, but I also don't want her holes to grow in. We had to pierce Gretchen's twice because her ears became infected, so I'm trying to stay on top of Megan's. Megan has done great at cleaning her ears and turning the earrings, but she is afraid of the process of changing the earrings.
Thanks to my facebook friends, I had a lot of suggestions on things we should try, so we'll try those or keep changing them while she sleeps!

We had a Bible presentation for the 3rd graders at our church a few weeks ago. This little photo of Gretchen praying, and her best friend Connor right beside her is my favorite. And, seriously, look at Connor's mom behind him. First, she's gorgeous inside and out, but I love how proud she is of her son. (He really is the sweetest little boy I've ever met.)
4. Everything Thieves.
4. Everything Thieves.
I had someone walk in to my office the other day, and let's just say the smell wasn't pleasant. (i.e.: smoke) I didn't have an freshener, because I don't use them. (Artificial Fragrance) and I didn't really know what else to use. I hadn't turned on my diffuser in my office, and I needed something stat. Thankfully, my Thieves spray came to the rescue and purified the air!
The other day, I desperately needed to clean my make up brushes, but honestly, who has the time? I filled up a glass bowl with water, added a capful of Thieves cleaner, and by the time I came home, I was able to give them a quick rinse and lay my brushes out to dry overnight. Seriously, it was so freaking easy.
We finally received the Kidscents Shampoo from Young Living! We had ran out, and I wanted to wait for my monthly order go in! Thankfully, it's back in our house and we're loving it! Seriously friends, I can preach it all day long, because I'm so passionate about it, but if you don't have the "Think Dirty" app, download it and go scan your products! And then throw them away, and find replacements!
3. Raising Cane
I took Gretchen and Addy out for a quick dinner while Meg was in gymnastics practice. Apparently the Cane's sauce is Addy's favorite.
4. The View
4. The View
Sometimes you have to stop and take in a fabulous view.
The sunset was just gorgeous.
Okay, that's all for today! We've got to get busy so we can cheer on our favorite team tonight!
