March 2025

March started off with lots of soccer practices during the week and soccer games during the weekend.

We somehow managed to have another day date.
And more soccer...
Spring break got started, and Gretchen was off to Hawaii with her dance team!!!
They spent a few days exploring and were able to perform at Pearl Harbor!
While she was off, our friends got engaged!!!

A quick picture before their performance...
And then I got sick and stayed on the couch for a few days while DJ took these girls camping.
They hiked and explored Pedernales Falls.

I felt a smidge better and thought I could drive over for the day and join them, which I did.. but that afternoon I knew I didn't feel well enough to spend the night so I drove back home and spent more time on the couch.

The girls were able to explore some more with DJ.

And Gretchen came home with a sunburn from her trip!
They had one more day camping before coming home.

And then we all went to watch the Texas women compete in March Madness.

Adalyn got a gift from her boyfriend!

And Megan was doing who knows what, but she always makes us laugh and smile.

I had another mom's night out with my monthly girls dinner club.

And we finished off the month with more soccer!

February 2025

I always say that January and February tend to be slow months for our family. We usually spend the time recovering from football season and getting life back to normal.
Megan cheered at her last middle school basketball games.
Adalyn and I were there to watch.
Gretchen's dance competition season started- so we went to her school to watch the showcase.
DJ and I had a date night to see Justin Timberlake!

And a Valentine's day date for lunch out and a walk around Town Lake.

I started a monthly girls dinner club and had our first one at The Goat in February.
And we spent a full day at dance competition watching Gretchen compete.

Gretchen's 17th Birthday at American Girl

Gretchen turned 17 in January and since this would be her last childhood birthday, we decided to do what any little girl would love- have her birthday at the American Girl doll store and cafe in Dallas!! I made a lunch reservation for us and two of her friends, and we got up the morning of and drove to Dallas (with a stoop at Buc-ee's of course!)

Thankful for friends who can bring out their own inner child too.
Each girl brought their own doll for us to have lunch with.

We wondered around the store for a little book and took a few pictures before lunch.

Our place setting at the table.

And all of the dolls had their own chair as well.

A milkshake for the birthday girl!

After a full course meal she opened her presents.

And then they changed out of their party dresses and headed to the mall for some shopping!

And a birthday build a bear of course!!
