What The Welte's Are Watching

It's been a long time since I've shared what we've been watching; truth be told, I feel like I haven't been watching much because there's so little time! By the time I do have time to sit down and watch TV, I'm exhausted! But, I have found some shows that we've been enjoying, so here's, What The Welte's Are Watching.

The Bachelor
This week we finally heard from the women in the Women tell All, and y'all, I have never been more ready for a season finale than I am this year. I'm an avid Bachelor fan- I've watched since I was in college, and remember when Trista and Ryan got married. I mean, I'm in it for the long haul. But, I also read the spoilers every year and this year there have been zero! So, I'm super ready for Monday night because I'm impatient!

Friends
For some reason, I've been crawling in to bed and turning on Friends. This show will always be a classic and never gets old.

 MacGyver
DJ and the girls are HUGE MacGyver fans. Addy was asking every Friday night when it would come on again and it finally started a few weeks ago. So, for the last few weeks, they've been curling up together and tuning in.

 Love Is Blind
I heard about this show from several Facebook friends, so Saturday, I binge watched it. It's similar to The Bachelor, but better? The couples dae, sight unseen, and then get married at the end.

 American Idol
I'm so glad this show is back on. I've always been a fan.

 Schitt's Creek
Oh my gosh, I laugh at every single episode. It's not one that I watch often, but if I can't find anything on, then I'll turn this on and laugh out loud.

Friday Night Lights
I started watching this during the football season, and I'm finally down to the last two episodes. I've tried to savor this one, because I just "get it" and it's similar to the life we live, but I'm also excited to see how this one ends. It's a good binge show.

Alright, what have you been watching?

What We're Watching....

Our favorite TV shows are about to start up again, and I'm looking forward to getting back in to them! I'm lookin at you Grey's, and This Is Us.

In the mean time, we've been watching a ton of Netflix and binge watching shows and series. I thought I'd catch y'all up today with What We're Watching, and find out what y'all are watching too!

So many Facebook friends recommended Ozark last Fall. Once DJ was home more, we settled in to watch it. I had actually watched the first episode before we moved in September, but I figured it was a series he would like, so I waited to watch the rest of them. It took a few weeks, but we binged our way through both seasons, and we're looking forward to season 3.

Now, I do wish some friends would've mentioned that it's a "R" show, but the plot line is thrilling, so I overlook the language and nudity as best as I can.

We watched season 1 and 2 of Fuller house when they were released, and then took a long break from the series. In December, we started watching them again, and the girls are hooked. Fuller House has been on repeat in the Welte house.
Coop and Cami is also a favorite for the girls. It's on Disney and super cute.
I mean, who hasn't watched Bird Box? It's suspenseful and will have you on the edge of your seat, and maybe a little fearful to go outside the next day.
I'm not sure how I missed the original Mamma Mia when it came out years ago, but I watched it on Netflix back in September, and got hooked. I'd play the soundtrack when we were packing or when I was cleaning. Our plan to the Sugar Bowl had little TV screens with shows or movies, so I watched Mamma Mia 2 to NOLA and back again. The songs are just as catchy and I love that we get to see the history of Donna.
Well, I started the show on January 2nd and finished it on the 3rd. Marie is a doll and she brings me joy! Ha! I immediately refolded the sheets in our linen closet, and everything in mine and DJ's dressers, as well as reorganized the pantry. Before the break ended, I tidied up all the girls rooms, and had plans to finally organize the hall closet.

On the bright side, I purged SO much before we moved, that I don't have a ton to throw away, but we do have a little pile that I'll be taking to goodwill soon. Basically, if you're feeling up for some organization, watch Tidying Up.
The girls had been waiting for the next season of this show to start, and they've been watching it when they get a chance! I honestly haven't paid enough attention to know exactly what it's about. It seems rather strange to me, but the cast of characters is amazing!

So, what have you been watching and what are you ready to start back up?

What The Welte's Are Watching

It's been a long time since I've shared what we're watching, and it's summer, which basically means that nothing is really on TV. But, thanks to my DVR, Netflix, and a few shows that last through the summer, we've had plenty to watch around here.
I missed season 1 of Very Cavallari, but I started watching season 2 and now I'm hooked. Obviously Kristin, was a bad girl on Laguna Beach and The Hills, but she's adorable now, and I've followed her on Instagram for some time now. In this season, she's setting up Uncommon James, and there's lots of drama between the girls that work for her.
I'm a huge Bachelor/Bachelorette fan, so of course, I've kept up with it all summer long.

I think Becca made a great choice!
I've been a Nashville fan for years, and even though I wasn't as big of a fan when it changed over to CMT, the finale had me in tears. It tied everything up so well, and I loved the cast singing at the end. It just gave me all the happy feels.
Now that The Bachelorette is over, bring on Bachelor in Paradise! I'm totally rooting for Grocery Store Joe, and I'm appreciated Jordan more.
And, when nothing else is on, i'll turn on Anne with an E on Netflix. I grew up watching Anne of Green Gables, and this follows the story line, but has it's own story line too. It's a great classic, and I love that I can watch this one with the girls.
Real Housewives of Dallas starts next week and I cannot wait!
Gretchen has been binge watching A Series of Unfortunate Events and asked for the box set of books for Christmas.
And Adalyn is obsessed with Spirit. I'm pretty sure she'll be getting lots of Spirit toys for Christmas this year.

Okay, give me some ideas! What are y'all watching at your house?

What the Weltes Are Watching

It's been a long while since I've shared what we're watching... and honestly, this is more what I'm watching because lately, DJ and I haven't had much time to sit down together to enjoy a show (other than Grey's Anatomy). I'm so exhausted by the end of the day that I want to crawl in bed, and usually watch a DVR'd show, before calling it a night. So, really, this is just what I've been watching ;) DJ is much more of a night owl than myself.

First up, American Idol.

I'm so glad this show came back on TV. At first, I wasn't too sure about the judges, but I'm absolutely loving seeing Katy Perry in this element. It's so different, and I feel like American has really gotten to see her as a person.

This season, the judges aren't offering the criticism that Simon Powell use to offer. It's a breath of fresh air.

And, the final 5 is amazing!!! I can definitely see 4 of the 5 of them as big future stars.

If you're watching- who's your favorite?
Roseanne.

Yup, I'm watching it. I remember watching Roseanne as a kid, and quite frankly, I'm not sure why my mom let me watch it. Maybe, I just watched it and she didn't know about it. But, it's been kind of fun to see the updated version.

And, it's kind of mindless t.v, which I enjoy watching shows where I don't have to think.
I started watching The Crown months ago, and I'm slowly making my way through it. I'm only on season 2, but it's kind of hard to follow. It's been very interesting to see the dynamic between Queen Elizabeth and Philip, and frankly, I feel sorry for him as a character in the show. I can't imagine how hard it was for him to transition to his wife being the Queen, not being able to give his family his last name, and to give up all control over his life.

The Crown gives you a glimpse in to the early days of Queen Elizabeth, but, like I said, it's hard to follow, so I really have to be in the mood to watch this, so I don't miss anything.
I found this documentary on Netflix, and since I was feeling sorry for Prince Philip, I wanted to watch it to learn more about him. It's definitely interesting, how manipulating people can be to get the political powers that they desire.
And, because apparently, I'm in to all things British History, I started to watch The Young Victoria a few nights ago. I only made it halfway through, so I still need to finish it, but it's been a good movie!

Since Summer is approaching, I need some Netflix suggestions!

I've watched Reign (which I still highly recommend) and Parenthood. But, I need a new series! And, one that probably isn't inspired by England! Ha!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!!!!
And, Happy Birthday Gretchen Rose!!!! Today you turn 10, and I'm bawling my eyes out!!!

We're so proud of you and we love you so freaking much! You are a smarty pants; you're helpful, and you're super passionate. We can't wait to see you grow and what the next 10 years has in store for you!
I'm linking up today with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for Friday Favorites.
First up, a favorite moment between these two sisters. While big sister was at speech, we snuck off to Panera for cookies and juice, and they totally had a Lady & The Tramp moment.
Also, I'm totally obsessed with these Kate Spade earrings lately.

My monthly wellness box came in this week and it's always a favorite when it arrives! This month, I grabbed the 5 day Nutritive Cleanse set, lots of goodies for friends, some Savvy Minerals make up, and a few freebies!
Want to know what's not my favorite?

The flu.

And two of our girls have had it this week.

I used these oils in a roller bottle to help boost their little immune systems.

And we've all been drinking a concoction of Ningxia Red, orange juice, and Elderberry Syrup
This morning, our birthday girl is waking up to a fun little surprise. We're having her a party on Saturday with her friends, and she's so excited! Also, how adorable is this wrapping paper.
Earlier this week, I shared What I'm Wearing, and a few of my favorite outfits.
And, I also shared about our crunchy journey, this week too.

Also, can we chat about This Is Us for a minute. Who watched Tuesday night's episode? Who is counting down until Super Bowl Sunday, only because This Is Us will be on right after the Super Bowl? I mean, that game better not go in to over time. How do you guys think Jack died? Is it the fire? Did he go back inside for the dog? Was it another event after the fire? What are your theories?

What We're Watching

At the end of a long day, there's not much better than crashing on the couch (with DJ) and settling in to our favorite t.v. shows!

Here's a round up of what we're watching!
Wednesday nights, our favorite is still Criminal Minds. With Spencer in prison, the episodes have two plot lines, which keeps it interesting!
I've been watching Parenthood on Netflix since the fall, and I'm down to three episodes left. I'm in denial that it's ending..... Parenthood is one of the shoes that I think could totally stand the test of time. It's easy to relate to the characters. I feel like I know them. Like, they could be any of our neighbors.
I first found When Calls the Heart on Netflix, and watched all of the seasons last spring. It's back on Hallmark on Sunday nights, and I enjoy the wholesomeness of the show. Although the relationship between Jack and Elizabeth is agonizing, because I just want to shout "Hurry Up and Get Married Already", I enjoy the crawling in to bed early on a Sunday to tune in.
And, I'm ready for This is Us to come back. I haven't caught it in a few weeks, so I think that it's on a mid-season break, but I sure do miss this show!
I have a love/hate relationship with Grey's Anatomy. I loved the early years of Grey's. And then it went downhill for a while, but I've enjoyed this season again. It's pulling at the heartstrings and the writer's are working hard to bring it back to what it once was.

Okay, so, we totally need some new shows! Because we've been watching these for years!!!

What are some of your favorites?

What the Weltes are Watching

Hey, Hey Thursday!!! I mean, I can't believe I'm taking some time to blog this week! We've been so busy the last few weeks that I've taken "off" from blogging on Thursdays and Fridays, but I'm back this week! Yay!

Today, I'm sharing what we're watching. Invigorating stuff here, I know. But, we still have a few cold weather nights (okay, a lot) and at the end of the day, I love nothing more than to sit on the couch and watch t.v. with DJ....or on nights where he watches his "man" shows, I love to go to the bedroom, get under the covers, and relax while watching a few of my favorite series on Netflix. I mean, binge watching is pretty much the best way to wind down and not-adult. Am I right?
Last fall, my love affair with Parenthood began. I'm halfway through season 5 and I only have one more season to finish, before saying good-bye to this family. And, I'm already in denial over it. You can find Parenthood on Netflix, and just know that you will follow this family through major ups and downs, and every bit of it is so good. And, you may cry. (I probably cried my way through Season 4). I typically watch Parenthood while folding laundry, having a lazy weekend afternoon, or on Tuesday nights while DJ is watching his "man" shows.
On Mondays, I Bachelor. I'm not really a fan of the season? I mean, I don't even think my problem is with Nick. It's with the ladies. I like Raven.... and that's about it. And Corrin, please grow up. But, The Bachelor has always been a must watch for me, so I'm suffering my way through it with the rest of America.
On Tuesday, I'm watching This is Us, with all of the other 30 & 40 somethings! If you haven't started this show, you must watch it from the beginning, or you will be crazy lost. There are twists and spins, and if you're not paying attention, you will miss something. And, you don't want to miss anything. The show reminds me a lot of Parenthood, which was how Parenthood was recommended to me. You'll fall in love with this family too.
And, since we're talking about This Is Us, how cute is this t-shirt from Tailgate? Head to their site and take 10% off your purchase of anything with the code ELAINEW.
On Wednesday's, DJ and I always sit down together and watch Criminal Minds. Truth. I cannot watch it alone. I'm such a scaredy cat.
And then on Thursdays, we settle in for a night of Nashville and Grey's Anatomy.
I was pumped when CMT picked up Nashville. I loved the series when it was on ABC, and I'm glad that a country music station is producing the show. I feel like there are some more behind the scenes, like shooting a music video, that the folks over at ABC probably had no idea about. Now the whole plane crash recovery, I kind of side eye a little bit, and I'm sure lots of physical therapists do too, but I'm glad Juliette is still on the show.

And, how about that first January episode of Grey's? I cried like a baby at the end, and I feel like maybe, it's getting back to the good 'ol days. I'm not going to lie, the last few seasons, I would watch, but it wasn't my favorite. So, after two really good weeks of shows, I'm hoping that we'll improve.

And, since this post includes all of us.... I thought I'd share what my girls are watching....
You Tube.

Everything is You Tube these days. They watch American Girl videos, gymnastic videos, baby alive videos. Anything girly, they're watching. And, we cannot get them off. They're totally obsessed.
And, did y'all see? Netflix has Finding Dory on!

I'm hoping for a movie night this weekend so we can all sit down and watch it together again! We saw it in the theater and it's super cute! And, perfect timing too, because there was only so much Zootopia I could take!

So, what are y'all watching in your house? Any must binge Netflix shows that I'm missing out on? Because after Parenthod ends, I'm going to need something to keep me going while folding laundry!
