Costco Haul

Y'all know I love a good Costco haul. I had to run in Monday night to grab a few things for quick dinners and lunches and while it's not a huge haul, I grabbed some of our favorite's.

We love their pulled pork; just a head's up, the packaging has changed on this one! I put it in the crockpot so it's ready when we walk in the door at the end of a busy day!

I bought DJ wings for the Super Bowl, and he asked me to pick up another bag if they had it! I won't eat these, but he and Gretchen will.
I love baby carrots! I eat these in my lunch, throw them in the crock pot with a roast, and the girls will sometimes eat them too.
We love their Chicken Fried Rice. Gretchen had taken a few bags to school for lunch and we were out. We serve these with Costco's orange chicken!

I needed hummus for my carrots.

I picked up turkey breast for lunches.

And organic chicken nuggets for the girls to eat.

The girls love these sausages for breakfast!

And I grabbed lots of produce! Baby cucumbers, oranges, strawberries, bananas, and peppers.

Costco also had cotton candy grapes!

Deebee's popsicles are the best! Best ingredients, no artifiical colors. We love these!

We love these Made Good minis for a snack!

I picked up this chicken for the first time. I figured I could take it to lunch in wraps or salads, or just eat it by itself. I usually buy their chicken skewers, but lately some of the pieces have been tough, and I figured I needed to find a replacement.

And since I went to Costco on a Monday night around dinner, I picked up their street tacos, because I was not cooking after that Costco haul!

Life Lately

This past week was crazy busy! I think we only survived with God's grace and a lot of prayers. Here's a look at life lately.
The girls got bicycles for Easter and they've been riding whenever they can! Tuesday night, Adalyn and I went on a bike ride around the neighborhood and behind the school.
The girls' bracelet making company has officially launched! They're selling $10.00 bracelets over on Instagram! We spent last week making a few more bracelets and taking some photos for the offocial opening!
Megan has officially started cheer practice! She's so excited to learn cheers and practice. We've talked about camp and all the fun things she has coming up! We've started fundraising to help cover some of her fees and we are so appreciate and thankful for everyone that has helped out!
Adalyn had a choir concert last week. Her friends are all in choir and they did a fabulous job singing songns about the sky, stars, and moon.
I went on a late night walk with the girls and the sky was gorgeous!
The girls had dentist appointments Friday morning and then the two little girls went to school. I let Gretchen stay home with me the rest of the day and we watched a movie and worked on more bracelets.

Megan had gymnastics and Gretchen went to a sleepover after school, so Adalyn and I made a pizza for dinner.

Saturday morning, we had a small garage sale before I had to pick up Gretchen from her sleepover and drop her off at school for play practice. Then the little girls and I headed to the UT spring game

It was fun to be back in DKR for the game and to see how hard the players & coach's have worked this season, but really the girls wanted to go see their football friends!

I had to run back to pick up Gretchen, so I left the girls with DJ while he finished up film, ran home to get Gabby, dropped Gretchen off at her other play practice, and headed back to meet DJ and the girls.
It was Gabby's first time at her namesake, so of course we had to take her to the field for some pictures!

Once DJ had everything wrapped up, we headed to eat at Shoal's Cree, and then headed to Pease park for the girls to play.

The girls had a blast playing and Gretchen ended up getting done early, so we picked her up around 9, and then all headed home! It had been a very busy day!
We've been go-go-go, so we stayed home Sunday morning and rested. We did a few chores, and then the girls begged me to take them to the pool. It was only in the 70s and the water was cold! They lasted about 10 minutes, but they played and had a little photo shoot! I was able to read a book and relax, which was so needed.
Sunday night, I met some friends for dinner and it was so nice to sit and catch up!

Now that Spring ball is over, i'm hoping life will slow down just a tad, and honestly, I'm counting down to summer!

Easter Sunday

Easter morning came early! My parents wanted to attend their church's early service so my mom would have time to cook our Easter lunch. We were up and working on getting out the door by 8:30, and thankfully the girls cooperated and all got dressed.
It probably helped that I told them they wouldn't be able to open their Easter baskets until after church, so they hurried a bit.

But also, while we were getting dressed, Adalyn started to cry because she missed her dad. I told her that he was probably still asleep and not to call, but that she could send him a quick text message. Which, was a big mistake, because I had told him all about their Easter baskets and how I had hidden a message inside their eggs revealing their big present.

She came to me and said "the Easter bunny isn't real? You're the Easter bunny?" with a sad look on her face and I was probably just exasperated and told her it was true. Her sisters were quick to tell her that the Easter bunny wasn't real but that Santa was and she was good.

They opened their Easter baskets from me, not the Easter bunny.

Adalyn had written a note to the Easter bunny and of course, he. I mean, I, wrote her back.
Gretchen got some make up and candy.
Adalyn got some Barbie toys and candy.
Megan got an outfit for cheer practice and candy.

But their big present was bicycles for Megan and Adalyn and roller blades for Gretchen. But, those were at home since there was no way we could bring those to Gee's house.
We were out the door for church, and stopped over for a quick photo op and doughnuts and juice.

The girls wanted their picture in front of the tomb, and of course they had to role play crawling out of the tomb and standing guard.

After church, we snapped a few pictures outside of my parent's house.

These girls are growing up way too fast. I feel like they were just little and all wearing matching Easter dresses yesterday.

All of the family arrived and we had a big lunch.
Gee has her arms full with all grand girls!

Then it was time for the egg hunt! Each of the kids hunting had a big plastic egg with money and candy inside.
I love that she isn't too big for egg hunts.

After the egg hunt, my mom came up with games to play. Thankfully, we had 4 very brave adult volunteers. We put shaving cream on their heads and the kids tosed cheese balls at them.
Then it was the kids turn and the adults threw cheese balls at them.

Then they had to transfer eggs in to a dish with just a spoon.
After the games, we had a big confetti egg fight! And it was a mess!
Easter was fun.

I loved being with my family and extended family. It was exactly how I wanted to celebrate this year and just be with the people that I love. Sometimes it's hard that we live away from family. So, when we're able to have these holidays, the memories are extra special.
