Life Lately/Weekend Wrap-Up

So, I put off blogging for Monday, because I wanted a day of doing nothing. I feel like we've been "go, go, go" and I haven't had a day of just family, and doing things that I wanted to do.... which may have included an episode of Parenthood, lounging on the couch, and baking.

So, here's a little Life Lately/Weekend Wrap-Up for y'all on this rainy Tuesday!
Thursday evening, my Happy Oiler shirt arrived! And I was so pumped about it! You can check out the Happy Swag Shop for more Happy Oiler gear! I'll tell you what, I had no idea how important it would be to sign up with Young Living on the right team, but I scored a pretty amazing upline of a team! I really do love my happy oiler life!
After getting ready for yoga, (and while the girls played outside), DJ and I threw together nachos for dinner. We had left over taco meat, so I topped chips with the meat, black beans, red and green peppers, tomatoes, and lots of cheese. Our girls love nachos, and it's an easy meal to throw together on a hectic night!

After dinner, I went off to yoga, DJ ran, and the girls played in the kids gym!
So, I'm trying out a few essential oils in my mascara, and working on documenting the changes every Friday. Last Friday, was week one... and this pic is with my mascara, but I'll be bringing a big update in a few weeks!
We had big Friday night plans..... Megan was having a friend spend the night, and Gretchen was asked to have dinner with her friend, Connor (and his parents.) We knew we wouldn't have time to come home after school, before we had to pick up Connor's little sister, and drop Gretchen off, so she set out her date-night outfit before school.
After we dropped Gretchen off, we were home for pizza night!
And Gretchen was having dinner with Connor! They went to a hibachi restaurant and she told me that she shared chicken, and they had rice, and yummy dessert!
And then we settled in to watch Trolls, and had an epic dance party after the movie was over!

We spent Saturday at home. I had some projects to get started on for our upcoming trip, and we had #allthelaundry to work on.
After church on Sunday, we went to Red Robin, and the girls were pumped about getting a balloon, but Adalyn did not want to cooperated with having her picture taken!

After lunch, we went shorts-shopping for DJ, and he realized why I shop online!

We came home and the girls rested, while I watched Parenthood and worked on laundry. Afterwards, I did some baking, and while DJ ran to get his haircut, I had the fancy to move our dining room table around and finally took down the Valentine's decor!
We have way more space around our table now, and as I was trying to take a picture for my mom (because we love to move furniture around, thank you grandma, I always have to get my mom's approval) and the little girls jumped in to "photo bomb" the picture!

Ha! So, that's a little life lately and weekend wrap up for you!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday friends! What is it about short weeks that make them seem so long? We had Monday off, but work has been crazy busy with progress reports, seeing kids, writing IEPs, and more! Plus, the afternoons and evenings are hectic with after school activities! We are definitely staying busy.... and I don't mind at all as long as the weather cooperates! We hit 80 degrees this week, and I'm not sure about y'all, but I'm much happier when it's sunny and we can get outside! Plus, the Bradford Pears are blooming, which just makes me giddy.

I'm linking up today with Andrea, Erika, and Narci, where each Friday, we share our Favorites!

Last Friday, I registered Adalyn for Pre-K!!!! Next year, two of the girls will be with me, and Adalyn will be 5 minutes away! I am so excited about her starting preschool in the fall, but I have no idea how she is almost 4 and ready for public pre-k!

After registering her for school, we went for haircuts!
This was Adalyn's very first hair cut! I have no idea, but I have waited until at least 3 1/2 for all of the girls to get their first hair cut. Above is her before.
She was such a big girl sitting in the chair! And maybe a little wiggly too!
She let Valerie dry her hair just a little bit.
And a few after pictures.
We honestly just had a little trim, to try to even out her hair. Her hair is so fine, that I'm not sure if shorter hair will suit her, so for now, we're keeping it long.
Unlike Megan who wanted her hair cut to her shoulders. We compromised, and it's a little below her shoulders, but it's short enough that she's happy! She kept asking me if I thought her friends at school would still recognize her!

After hair cuts, we met DJ for dinner.
And driving across town, we saw a rainbow!
We headed for The Rooftop in downtown, because DJ hadn't been there before. I love our little downtown area, and I'm constantly telling DJ that we don't go there enough.
Addy and I had to pass some time taking selfies.
After dinner, we walked back to our car, and stopped to take in a few of the shops that were open late. AH had a chimnea set up with a fire and little benches, so we stopped to warm up a bit! Spending time with my people, is my favorite.

Friday after school, Gretchen went home with a friend and they had a sleepover, so it was just DJ and I with two kids instead of three!

Saturday morning, I hit the gym for Body Pump class (not my favorite) and went to pick up Gretchen. She had a ball at her sleepover!

And Saturday afternoon, Megan and I went to Chuck E Cheese for a friends birthday party!
She was so excited to see Chuck E..... just like in the commercials!

Our poor kids have never been to Chuck E. Cheese before (Gretchen's only been once for a birthday party, and this was Megan's first time). I kind of despise, pizza/arcade places.
Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised because Chuck E Cheese was much cleaner than Incredible Pizza, but it was also a lot smaller, and I didn't eat the pizza so I have no idea how it tasted. But, Megan had an absolute blast! She had so much fun and I loved spending time with just her!
And she could not wait to have her picture taken with "the mouse." It may have been her favorite part!
I decided we needed to diffuse Thieves this weekend because we had been around a few too many germs! And kids at school are dropping like flies!
Sunday morning we made it to church, and seeing these three walk out, was a favorite moment. Especially, Adalyn skipping!
Monday morning I had a dentist appointment, and the hygienist commented on how white my teeth are! You guys, I use my favorite Thieves toothpaste from Young Living with a drop of orange oil.

We spent the rest of our President's Day-day off having brunch with some family that was in town for a short visit... a trip to Rustic Cuff, some errands, and dentist appointments for the big girls, followed by a trip to the gym, where I did three miles of cardio... again, not my favorite.
Tuesday, I was working away in my office, when the nurse came in to tell me that Megan was in her office. She had been flipping over the bars on the playground and she banged her head. Hard. We ended up leaving after my last group, because Adalyn had a dentist appointment, and left with an ice pack on Megan's head.
About an hour later, her bump was looking a little better, and she was smiling again.
And Adalyn had her dental check up! She was so good, so big, so brave. She did fantastic!

We topped off Tuesday evening with dinner at Chick-Fil-A, and gymnastics for Megan.
And, look who I spotted on the playground on Wednesday afternoon! Her Gee had texted to check on Megan's head, so I snapped a quick picture to send her.
And then we had to have a picture with Megan's "glasses" on. She got these from the dentist, and took out the lenses so she could have "seeing" glasses, and insisted on wearing them to school.
And, then I got this picture from Adalyn's teacher.... they were painting a tooth using a toothbrush! How cute is that?

What's Up Wednesday

What's Up Wednesday..... and friends of mine! I'm so pumped your here today!

Once a month, I link up with The Larson Lingo, Mix & Match Family, & Pinterest Told Me To, to dish on what's up!
1. What We're Eating This Week:
Sunday- Lasagna, Salad, French Bread
Monday- Leftovers
Tuesday- Whatever We Can Find
Wednesday- Corn Chowder
Thursday- Taco Night
Friday- Pizza Night!

2. What I'm Reminiscing About:
Hmm.... right now, nothing... I'm kind of full steam ahead and looking forward, but if I had to choose something... it would be babies.
More specifically, my babies and how in the world they grew up so fast. And I'm not going to lie, sometimes, I want another baby, and then my children misbehave or drive me bonkers, and I'm all "nope, I'm good."

3. What I'm Loving:
On Monday, I shared with y'all, my new favorite online shop..... Tailgate. You can see my favorite picks here, and use the code ELAINEW for a 10% off discount code.... and be sure to check out the items that are on major sale right now!

4. What We've Been Up To:
I've been hitting the gym a few times a week, which makes our evenings busy, and our weekends packed. I feel like I don't ever get a chance to just sit and do nothing, but I know that I need to workout.
We've been hanging out as a family since DJ is home more right now.... which will only last another week, because spring football practice is about to start!
And all of the girls got their hair cut last week!
And twice a week, I single mom-it in the morning because DJ has to film early morning work outs, which means that I have to get all of the girls up, dressed, fed, and dropped off!

4. What I'm Dreading....
Hmm.... like I said, I'm looking forward right now and excited for March!

5. What I'm Working On....
I've been doing lots of oil work right now! We're prepping for a fun spring event in March!
We are heading on a Disney cruise in just a few weeks, and I'm working on finalizing outfits, swimsuit shopping for me, making hair bows for the girls.... there's so much to do before we leave!

6. What I'm Watching/Reading:
I'm currently reading, Getting Noticed, by Lindsay Teague Moreno, who is in my Young Living upline. Girl tells it like it is, and if you're involved in any sort of network marketing business, you need to grab her book.
And, I'm working my way through Nicholas Sparks, Two by Two.

9. What I'm Listening To:
Currently? DJ is watching something on the History channel.

But, in the car, the girls and I are digging Thy Will Be Done, by Hillary Scott.

And, on Pandora, I'm big in to Nashville radio.

10. What I'm Wearing:
Currently? Adidas work out pants, and a TU dry fit shirt ;)

And realizing that I haven't blogged a "What I Wore" post in a sweet forever.

11. What I'm Doing This Weekend:
We just planned a sleepover for Megan, and Gretchen is going to dinner with a friend on Friday night. I plan on hitting the gym and then locking myself in the house to work on Disney outfits.

12. What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month:
All things Disney! We are so excited for our cruise!

13. What Else is New:
Not much! Football practice starts back up next week, warmer weather is just around the corner (Can I get an Amen?) and we are in happier spirits because Spring is coming!

14. What Is My Can't Live Without Beauty Product:
I've shared before that I make my own face wash using coconut oil, baking soda, and essential oils. I also love the ART cleanser, toner, and moisturizer from Young Living. And I've recently started using their Sandalwood moisture cream. Basically, essential oils and incorporating them in to my beauty routine are my can't live withouts!

Thanks for stopping by today friends!

Mad For Monday: Shop Tailgate

Happy Monday friends! We're out of school today for President's Day so the big girls and I are running errands, and I am taking Adalyn to school for the day!
Every other week, I like to bring you Mad for Monday, where I share what I'm going mad for, and today, I'm sharing a new shop..... Tailgate

Tailgate is owned by a fellow coach's wife, who lives in Texas! Channa and her husband have an adorable little girl, and I love her heart for clothing.
Tailgate has an adorable line of graphic tees. I'm totally a t-shirt girl so their tees totally speak to my heart. I go mad for a comfy t-shirt and dressing it up with a kimono, wrap, or jacket.
Speaking of kimono's, I love this one from Tailgate. The fringe, the flowers, the bright colors.
I also, love this dress! An off the shoulder, maxi dress.... yes, please! I'm going mad for you.
And, how cute is this camo dress? Throw it on with a military jacket, add some booties, (I recently bought these) and you can transition in to spring, pair with a pair of converse, for an easy summer look.
I'm grabbing this top for sure! I love the casual look of the split shoulders, and I love how this top flows.
This top is on sale, but it's not available in my size, or I would be grabbing it for sure! I love the wise dolman sleeves on this top. And, it looks particularly cozy!

Floral tops are still in style, and I love that I can pair this one with a jacket, and wear it with shorts this summer.
And, I'm going mad for this pineapple top! And pssst, it's on sale!
This poncho is on sale too! I'm mad for the gingham and fringe!
And, this shirt is only available in a large, and it's on sale! It runs big, and I'm mad for it, but since it's not available in my size, one of you should snag it up!

How cute are these clothes? I'm seriously mad for Tailgate, and you can be mad for them too!

Head to Tailgate and use code ELAINEW to take 10% off your order!

You can find Tailgate, on Instagram here!

Enjoy your President's Day!!! See y'all back on Wednesday for What's Up Wednesday!
