All the Favorites

Hello friends! I'm sharing a round up of favorites today! There's lots in this post; gift ideas, clothes, football and more!

Let's dig in!
Last Friday, the girls had the day off school. After dentist appointments in the morning and a quick parent teacher conference, we were looking for something fun to do.

I opened my Get Out Pass app and let the girls choose between a few activities, and they both chose Jungle Movement Academy.
Our Get Out Pass, gives us free entry in to several venues in our area, as well as in San Antonio, which is just an 1 1/2 away for us. It's available in several states and throughout Texas! And would make the best Christmas gift! Use code ITSELAINEWELTE to save on each of your passes!
The girls had free range at Jungle Movement and had a blast! They were climbing, bouncing, jumping and playing for a solid 2 hours.
Saturday was game day, and kick off was at 11 am. Gretchen had to be at school for play practice, so we dropped her off, and headed to the game. A quick hug to dad, and the girls were off to play with the other football kids.
They've done a great job of "babysitting" the other kids. One of our meeting rooms is open for families, and the girls would rather play and help watch the little kids than watch the game. I drop them in the meeting room and head out to the game. It works out great because they can be a set of hands for some of the other wives.

We've been through seasons where we have lots of families and little kids. We've been on staffs that had regular babysitters at each game, and now our girls are some of the oldest, and I really want them to be helpful, because I know how hard it can be dragging little kids to a game when they're tired or hungry.

I ordered this sweater on Amazon Prime days, and it is so soft and cozy! I cannot wait for the weather to finally cool off in Texas so I can live in this!
Our weekends have been crazy busy, so Adalyn and I have been running lots of errands during the week. She loved our last Target trip.
Sunday night football dinners are always a favorite.
Balloons are everywhere at Texas right now! Such a fun photo op.
Adalyn's definitely in to posing in her favorite pose with her favorite doll.
Love the touches of pink for breast cancer month.
I grabbed this flannel when I was out the other day. I have a flannel obsession right now.
Adalyn and I were "twinkies" last week. We both had on leggings (my favorite here.).
My top here.
Last Thursday night, Megan was at practice, Gretchen was at play practice, and DJ was out of town, so I took this cutie out for a burger!
Also, give me all the cozy clothes at home. (Another pair of cozy joggers)

That wraps up a lot of favorites today! Check back here tomorrow for our recent Costco haul!

What We've Been Priming

I feel like with the ease of Amazon Prime I'm constantly logging in to the app and placing little orders. I love the fast shipping and I love that I don't have to run to the store- ha!

Here's a bit of what we've been priming lately.
I ordered these craft clothespins. Our advent calendar has little bags and the clothespins we were using had some break last year so we needed new ones.

Guys, we prime these all of the time! Elderberry is so beneficial in the winter months to boost your kiddos immune system! These have Zinc, Vitamin C, and are gluten free and vegan.

Do you have a Roomba? Did you know you can order replacement parts? Y'all, I had NO idea! I have been washing the little blue filter all the time, and then I just realized you can buy replacement parts, so I can toss them when they get super nasty! I've had our roomba for about 3 years and never replaced that blue filter. Now, I'm kicking myself, and now I have 10 replacements-ha!

The girls are all getting Lego sets from their Gee and PaPaw. My mom sent me money, and I primed all of the girls a Lego set. We got the gymnastics set, the treehouse, and a Harry Potter one.

I love, love, love this shave soap. I've been using it for a few years, and while I've tried others, I just don't think anything compares. The ingredients are safe and clean, and I don't have to run across town to grab this at Sprouts.

I am a huge straw fan. I had been using these paper straws, but once they ran out, I figured I needed to get some reusable stainless steel ones. I bought these and I love them. They're super easy to keep clean too and they'd make a great stocking stuffer!

Two of the girls have awkward pencil grips, and even though it's somewhat functional for them, I'm really trying to encourage a proper grasp. I ordered these pencil grips, because their fingers fit in to them so well. In the package, you get 9 of them for $4.00

Have you been priming lately? What are some of your favorite Amazon finds?

Beauty Questions

Last week, I was reading Erika's blog and saw her link up with The Blended blog for their beauty edition, and I totally loved the idea of sharing this, even though I'm way late to the link up party!

So, here we go.... my little beauty edition.

1. Eyelash Curler: Yes or No?
Nope. I use to use one, but now I really don't think I need one. I add a drop of cedarwood, lavender, and rosemary to my mascara, and I feel like my lashes have grown and are long with just mascara. Though I do want to get false ones put on one day just so I don't have to deal with them much!

2. Favorite Nail Shade?
I don't polish my nails. They chip too easily, and I'm way too OCD to look at chipped nails, and I don't have time to get them done. I usually buy OPI polish though and I will paint my toes. Right now, I'm wearing a purple shade, but I tend to wear pinks in the spring and summer, a brown or deep red in the fall.

3. Favorite Lipstick Shade?
I'm obsessed with "On a Whim" from Savvy Minerals, but I also love their lip gloss from the winter Savvy Minerals collection, Rockin. I usually wear the lip gloss if I need more color.

4. Blow Dry or Air Dry Your Hair?
It totally depends on the day. If I wash my hair at night, then I'll go to bed with it wet, but if I have to wash it in the morning, then I'll blow dry my hair. I only wash my hair a few times a week, so I don't have to blow dry it often :)

5. Artificial Nails: Yes Or No?
No. I don't have time for that!

6. Foundation: Yes or No?
Absolutely! I love my Savvy Minerals foundation in Warm 2.
In the summer, I wear a Warm 3 mixed with Dark 1.

7. Hair Up or Hair Down?
Both. Now that I cut my hair, you'll mostly find it down. But, I often throw it in to a pony tail at the end of the day. And, on day 3 or 4 of dirty hair, then it's almost always up. And yes, I do miss the messy bun.
currently ^

8. Bar Soap or Body Wash?
Soap. I found the best local shop that makes their own soap using Young Living essential oils.
The girls and I are all obsessed with the soap. I usually take them in and we each pick one out, and they seriously last us forever!

9. Bath or Shower?
Shower every day. Well, almost every day ;)
Baths are for mommy time outs! I love adding a few handfuls of oil infused epsom salts, (I make sure to buy unscented salts, and add my own oils) and a bath bomb from Young Living.

10. Favorite Body Lotion?

I fell in love with the Acure brand several months ago. I love that it's rated super low on the Think Dirty app, and doesn't have harmful ingredients.

11. Do you wear perfume? What's Your Favorite Scent?
I absolutely love the scent of Joy. It's a perfect floral combination that makes me happy!

12. Do you shave your legs every day?
Absolutely. I can't stand stubble.

13. Favorite Lip Balm?
Young Living has amazing lip balms. I'm currently obsessed with the Grapefruit.

14. How old were you when you first started wearing make up?
I think I was in 7th grade. I was allowed to wear powder, blush, mascara, and lip gloss. I remember on my 14th birthday, that my mom took a few of my friends to Clinique and we all had makeovers there! I also remember my mom telling me I couldn't wear eye liner because I'd look like a hooker. I'm pretty sure those were her words :0

Obsessed

Today is National Signing Day!!! And all of the coaches wives said "Amen!" I mean, my husband doesn't have to travel for recruiting season, but he's going to be home a little more over the next few weekends!
Tonight, we'll celebrate with a viewing party at the PAC on campus, and then have a date night out!

Alright, today I'm sharing all of my recent obsessions. And, while I'm totally obsessed with football, it may not be your thing, but these might be!

I was scanning shampoos on the Think Dirty App, and this one came in as a 3, which means, it's pretty darn safe for you!  I grabbed it and an Acure Conditioner, and I'm now obsessed. I've been using it for months, and I'm not sure why I haven't shared it before now! But, I'm totally loving it, and since my hair has detoxed, I'm only washing it twice a week, and rarely using dry shampoo!

All the praise hands, because no one has time to wash their hair.

I'm obsessed with paper straws! Recently, someone shared that they hated them, and I'm all, "not me!" Paper straws make me insanely happy! I mean, they're freaking adorable, can match any theme, and they're a fun decoration to have around the house. I always carry a yeti cup with me, so I will always have water, but my cup will always have a fun paper straw in it too!

Okay, I'm obsessed with cozy shirts, and this one is fabulous, and there's a fun story to go along with this shirt..... I was working with a 4th grade student, who was wearing the most cozy jogger pants, and I became obsessed with them. Every time she wore them I would tell her how cozy her pants were, and she finally told me she got them from Target. Duh. And, while I was browsing through Target, I found the shirt that matched her cozy pants! So, I bought it! Now, this is a lounge wear shirt, but I've totally gotten away with wearing it to work, and even had compliments on it, and it was perfect for lounging around the house when the girls were home sick. Anyway, i'm totally obsessed with this top.

Quotes & Word Swag

I love reading inspirational quotes. I mean, I have an entire Pinterest board collected of them. But, I'm also obsessed with the Word Swag app, and their recent updates, new fonts, and how you can add multiple layers now! Thank you Word Swag people. Also, this app is free, so you should totally download it.

Savvy Minerals Make Up.

In June of last year, Young Living released mineral make up that legit doesn't contain any crap. And, I'm obsessed.
I mean, just look at the before and after.

Hello gorgeous make up!

This month, they also released their make up in collections complete with a foundation, misting spray, eye shadows, blush, a foundation brush, lip gloss, and lavender essential oil. My full kit should arrive this week, and I'm so excited to see the colors they put together!

Alright, what are your current obsessions?

My Top 10 Favorite Beauty Products from Young Living

I get asked a lot about which products from Young Living, are my favorites when it comes to skin care and my beauty routine! I think that many of us are finally realizing that we not only need to take care of our skin, we need to watch what we are putting ON our skin.

Did you know that women put an average of 300 toxins and chemicals on our skin each day? And 80 of those are applied before we are out the door for our day? Our skin is able to absorb at least 68% of what we put on it, and unfortunately that includes a lot of toxins in our products.

I've been working on avoiding products that contain aluminum, parabens, formaldehyde, triclosan, and more. In fact, you can check out the "Never List" from Beautycounter here.

So, what do I use? Here are my top 10:
1. Thieves Aromabright Toothpaste

I use this toothpaste on my teeth, and as my deodorant. Yes, I don't wear deodorant. I have been using Thieves Aromabright for over a year now, and I've never had an issue. Sure, I still sweat, but did you know that sweat is GOOD for you? It was how your body was designed to release toxins. By applying antiperspirants, we are prohibiting our body's release of toxins. Most deodorants today contain aluminum, which is a known carcinogen. and we put it on near our boobs every single day.
2. Cel-Lite Magic Massage Oil

I recently purchased this massage oil from Young Living. Hello, summer is coming, and anything that could help to reduce the appearance of cellulite, I am all for! Bathe me in that product every single day! It's a bit messy, it's a massage oil, but I rub this on my thighs, and booty every single day. Sometimes twice a day, because I'm that determined. Cel-Lite Magic contains grapefruit, Vitamin-E, and other essential oils, which help to nourish and tone the skin. It can also help to release toxins. Because of the grapefruit, this has a yummy citrus smell!
3. Sandalwood Moisturizing Cream

I purchased this jar in January, and I still have half of the cream left! Which, means, that despite the cost, it is proving to last forever! I apply this each day before my make up, and sometimes I apply it at night after washing my face. You only need the tiniest (less than dime size) amount. This moisturizing cream contains sandalwood essential oil, and is infused with wolfberry seed oil. It helps to soften the skin and improves elasticity.
4. ART Refreshing Toner

I purchased the entire ART skincare trio, which includes a foaming facial cleanser, and a moisturizer. I loved the moisturizer because it left my face feeling silky, but I found that I went through it very quickly, which is why I prefer the Sandalwood moisturizer over the ART moisturizer. However, I absolutely love the ART Refreshing Toner! First, I have gone forever without a toner. Because I didn't think it was important or couldn't find one that I really loved. This toner contains frankincense, sandalwood, melissa, and lavender. It gently removes impurities and doesn't dry out my skin. It helps to restore your skins pH balance and helps to minimize pores.
5. Essential Beauty Serum

I just received this in April, and I'm already naming it a favorite after having it for a short period of time! The beauty serum contains blue cypress and lavender which are both known to restore the skin's natural balance. I have found that I only need to use this at night. If I use this in the morning, then my face is too moisturized.

I was also told that this was great for your hair! Say What?! I added a drop on my hair one night before I went to bed, and the next day, my hair was SUPER shiny! I've also been told this is a great one for beards!
6. Tea Tree

I use Tea Tree in my DIY face wash, but I also spot apply when breakouts appear. Thankfully, they don't happen often, because my skin is finally balanced, but when it's that time of the month, I usually have one or two appear.
7. Progessence Plus

Pro + is actually a serum to help support healthy progesterone levels in women. When women have balanced hormones, are skin looks better! I drop two drops on the back of my neck each morning and then rub in. Pro Plus also contains frankincense, which is great for the skin!
8. Rose Ointment

I was surprised when I received my first jar of Rose Ointment. First, of all, it's a tiny jar (on 1 oz) but, it lasted me an entire year! I just recently opened my 2nd jar. Also, I was expecting a cream or lotion, but this is definitely a thick, yellow-ish ointment. I have used this on my face (before I discovered Sandalwood Moisturizer Cream) at night, and I use this on my lips. I also love to put this on my heels at night and sleep with a pair of socks on. It keeps my heels soft and helps to prevent cracking. The girls also love this when they have dry skin, on their lips, and even on their booboos.
9. Frankincense

Frank is a powerful astringent, which helps to protect skin cells. It can help to reduce the appearance of pores, and lifts and tightens the skin. Frank has the ability to strengthen skin and improve it's tone and elasticity. I usually apply one drop of Frank neat on my face, and I always add it to my DIy face wash.
10. Satin Facial Scrub

This is a new purchase as well, but it's already a favorite! I use this one a few times a week, after I was my face with my DIY face wash. It helps to exfoliate the skin in a natural, non-toxic way. It's great for all skin types and supports the natural pH balance of your skin. I also like to use this on my heels to help exfoliate! Plus, the peppermint essential oil, leaves your face feeling a bit tingly and super clean!

If you want to learn more about these products or try them for yourself, just shoot me an email or head here to learn how you can grab your own Premium Starter Kit (which includes Frankincense, Lavender, Copaiba, and Purification- all of which are great for your skin!)
