Our little actress

Last week, Gretchen attended a musical theatre camp. She's done this camp for three years in a row and loves it!

This year, she chose the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory production camp.
She's on the far left of the stage.

She was one of the youngest in the camp this year and she did a phenomenal job. I mean, I may be a little biased ;)
On our way there, she kept telling us how nervous she was, but once she was on stage, she totally rocked it.
She even nailed her solos.
Her friend Connor tagged along with us, and he was so encouraging to her before on our way there, and he danced along to all of the songs.
And of course, Megan wanted her photo taken too. But, not with her sister.
After her performance, we headed downtown to eat and settled on Franklin's, which was a two thumbs up in Connors opinion.
I had the best company on my side of the table.
Gretchen taught Connor how to "hook 'em"
and we sent this photo to his parents.
We're totally going to turn this OU fan in to a Longhorn fan.
After dinner, we headed to Nouveau for chocolate, and then to STG for gelato.
It was safe to say that Megan enjoyed her ice cream.
These two had the best night!

We sure are going to miss this boy when we move.

Catching Up.....

Last week, was a really good week. We got back in to a routine after having family here, and we were able to get DJ somewhat settled in Texas. Gretchen had summer camp, so that forced us to get out of the house each day, and get back in to a new normal.

Today, I'm just catching up on life and what's been going on.
Oh, this girl. I think cheerleading is in her future but she also told me she wants to be in the olympics one day.
We're keeping her in gymnastics while we're still in Oklahoma, and then we'll find her a gym and look in to some competitions once we're settled in Texas.
I ordered some fun new bracelets from a friend and they came in last week! And, they're perfection! She made me a bracelet stack that will be perfect for the Longhorns games, and then a gorgeous druzy bracelet that I'm wearing every day. Check out The Cheering Section on Instagram and Facebook!
I made it to the gym 4 out of 5 days last week, and over the weekend, I was sore! Ha! I had planned on canceling my gym membership since we're moving, but it looks like we'll be put here in Oklahoma at least through August, so I renewed it for another month. I thought I would work out at home, but honestly, nothing motivates me like being at the gym.
We squeezed in a little pool time one afternoon.
One late afternoon, Addy crawled in bed with me while I was watching TV, and ended up taking a two hour nap!
We dropped big sister off at camp, and headed out for doughnuts!
Yum!
And since I had some paperwork to scan and some things to print, we headed off to the library.
Megan caught up on some reading while we were there.
We came home and Adalyn got dressed up for her "dance recital." She just finished up gymnastics (we may restart once we get settled in Texas) but I'm also considering putting her in dance, because she loves it too!
The girls requested a spa night, so I made Addy and Gretchen a mask using bentonite clay and patchouli essential oil, and Addy is totally in this weird smile phase. Like, she wouldn't smile, but she'd totally pose like this. Ha!
Megan chose a different mask that we had.
And we added some tea tree essential oil for Gretchen's pre teen skin :)
And then we painted all the toes complete with sparkles!
For dinner, it was a total easy night. Smoothies......
pumpkin muffins, granola bar, cheese stick, and an egg.

I'm not going to lie, sometimes it's nice not having to cook a real dinner.
PS- body pump kicked my booty this week. Two days later, and I was still sore.
Thursday afternoon, we drove to Arkansas to drop Addy off with her grandparents. She's having fun for a few days at Camp Gee, and we sent DJ this picture of her with these little football shoes. Hint, hint daddy- we need a boy! ..........

Well, two sisters want a boy, but mommy and daddy are happy with what we have ;)
We came home that evening and had a blast playing in the sprinklers.

Since Addy was away, we all crawled in to my bed and called it a night.

It may have been a little crowded!

What's Going On....

I've had a great little bed partner lately :) Now that DJ is in Texas, this girl has made herself at home in my bed. And yes, she's back to sucking her thumb. #weretrying
Nana was in town last week, and we loved having her here! Since we couldn't celebrate with DJ on his birthday, we celebrated without him by having dinner at The Brook.
We had planned on taking the girls swimming one afternoon, but it was cloudy and there were a few sprinkles, so we took them to paint pottery instead. Megan chose a princess.
And Addy painted the most colorful troll!
Gretchen painted a unicorn.
We had the best time, the girls worked really hard on all of their figures.

This girl was practicing all of her crazy faces in the bathroom mirror.

We went to Los Cabos to celebrate with DJ when he did make it back for the weekend, and these girls brought their baby dolls along, which totally kept them entertained. Except, they did want to order their dolls drinks and meals, and we told them absolutely not! Ha!
We loved having this guy home for the weekend. I headed to a baby shower on Saturday morning, while he took the girls to a birthday party.
After the shower, I met them at the party. Addy wanted a picture with the birthday boy, but he wasn't having it. So, we told the girls to stand behind him and tricked him in to a photo!
I picked up peaches from the grocery store last week, and wasn't sure if the girls would like them or not. They've had peaches before, but with the peel off. I grew up on my grandparent's strawberry, peach, and apple orchards, so its really important that the girls eat peaches with the peels on! Addy was a big fan!
Sunday afternoon, we headed to the park.
But other than that, we had a low key day, which was perfection!
