A Little More Jonesboro

Over the next several days, i'm going to be wrapping up our vacation! It'll probably be a bit boring, but since this is my own little scrapbook blog, I'm going to be writing theses posts mostly for me!

Our first day in Jonesboro, which is the town that DJ and I went to college in, and which DJ's sister, brother in law, and their two children, along with DJ's mom all live, was spent playing at the mall and hanging out with our new baby niece!

We decided that we'd stay in a hotel this trip, so after we wrapped up day 1, we all crashed at the hotel. The next day, we got up and had breakfast and then we went back up to our room to figure out what we were going to do for the day.
We had planned to meet DJ's mom for lunch, but Megan kept complaining of a tummy ache and Adalyn was ready for her first nap of the day, so we decided that I would stay in the hotel with the little girls and DJ and Gretchen would meet his mom for lunch.

I'm so glad that we ended up staying behind because Meggie whined and whined all morning and finally fell asleep and slept for three hours! I think she was just overly-tired and needed to rest!

Once DJ and Gretchen got back from lunch, I took Gretchen and Adalyn and did some shopping until Meggie woke up. Once she woke up, she felt so much better, and we went to the mall so the girls could get candy from the candy store, play in their little playground and ride on a toy.
Once we were done at the mall, we met DJ's mom at her work and she showed us the brick that was put in place in honor of DJ's grandma.

Then we went back to his sisters house for dinner, and we tried to get Adalyn to practice her walking a bit more.
We were pretty unsuccessful!

The next day was my birthday, and I have tons of pics from our fun activities on my "good" camera and i'll get those uploaded soon! But, DJ and I had a date night and went out to eat for my birthday.
I loved having a date night out, it was the perfect birthday gift!

When we got back to the hotel, the big girls were still awake, but Gretchen fell asleep fast and Megan insisted on sleeping on the floor.
I guess she wanted to feel like she was at home! We had a pull out sofa bed, a queen size bed that we weren't using, and of all places, Meggie still insisted on sleeping on the floor!
