So, What on Earth Have We Been Up To?

I think y'all are so sick and tired of seeing my vacation posts! Seriously, we've been home for two weeks, and then I took a blogging break and it's been vacation, vacation, vacation!  I think we are finally home for good now, and we only have about 2 1/2 weeks of summer left, which, I won't even think about! So, here's what we've been up to over our last few weeks at home.
Lots of cuddles!
Gretchen got a diary on vacation and she's been having lots of fun writing in it and keeping it away from her little sister!
We went on a walk down to the pond in our neighborhood.
This little girl is cruising every where, and one night at dinner, she stood at my feet and cried and cried. When I took a picture, she smiled. Little stinker.
Meggie has been playing baby doll, and it's a bit obsessive. She's feeding and rocking her baby's. Changing their diapers (using Adalyn's diapers to do so) and putting them to sleep in Adalyn's bed. She is such a little mommy!
The girls completed the summer reading program at the library.

And then we headed to Arkansas this past weekend for my BFF's wedding.
We took the girls out to eat pizza last Thursday night, and Adalyn ate like a pig, and then reached over and grabbed her big sisters slice and ate it too!

You'd think with all the eating that she does, she'd gain weight, and she's still a teensy 15 lbs.
After pizza, we went to the park to play.

I took the girls down this little trail so they could see the Arkansas River. We drive over it a total of three times when we go to my parents house, so I thought it would be fun to take them down to see it. Gretchen was scared the whole time because I told her to watch out for snakes!

Friday and Saturday were spent at my friend's wedding, and then Sunday, my sister in law and brother took the big girls to church. We celebrated our birthdays and spent some time in the pool. Sunday evening, we had Adalyn's one year pictures taken and then took the girls for snow cones.
Gretchen will pose mid-bite while i'm taking a picture of her; it's the funniest thing, she'll hold her pose forever until I get the shot.
Meggie was showing us her purple tongue.
And, here's a sneak peek at one of Addy's pictures! I'll show y'all more in the next few days!
The girls, well, mainly Gretchen, insists that we have pancakes every single morning when we are at my mom's house. Monday morning my mom made the girls blueberry face pancakes. Gretchen told me that she goes to Gee's house "to be spoiled." And she definitely is!
Most of Monday was spent at the pool. And since Adalyn slept and my mom played with the girls, I was able to lay out!
Meggie took a nap that afternoon in my mom's lap.
And on Tuesday, Meggie played photographer while I packed our stuff and we drove home!

We've had a great few weeks and I'm glad that we are now home for good and it's time to enjoy the last few weeks of summer!
