We've spent lots of time at the lake on our vacation! With DJ growing up around a lake and being a champion skier (a little trivia for you!) the lake is practically his second home!
On the first half of our trip, we decided that we would meet his college roommate, who was also the best man at our wedding, and his family in Hot Springs Village at the lake.
There was a perfect beach area with picnic tables, which was perfect for spending time together!

Because we're always on a boat, and the lake we typically go to, doesn't have a beach area, this was the girls first time with sand and water. It's as close to an ocean as they'll get for a while!
Meggie had fun playing in the sand!
We had lunch, and I brought food for Adalyn, but I decided to tear up some hamburger for her! She decided to just grab the larger piece out of my hand, and she spent lots of time gnawing on the burger!
We built more sand castles, searched for fun rocks and seashells.
There was also a water trampoline with a slide, and the girls had fun playing on it while Adalyn and I stayed at the beach.
It was the perfect day for catching up with friends!
