June 2024

Megan and Adalyn went to football camp with DJ one day in June. I'm pretty sure they were the only girls there but they had a blast!

And I'm pretty sure boys were trying to get their phone numbers.

We had a fun girls shopping day.

And these two were off to church camp!

While big sisters were away, this girl got to play!!!

DJ also went out of town for a work trip, so this girl came with me to work, and then we went to get her ears re-pierced, which is what she wanted for her birthday!

She was so happy and Rowan made the process very simple!

The girls were having lots of fun, but this is the only picture I have from church camp because it was on the instagram page!

And then we all celebrated Texas entering in to the SEC!

We ended the night with an epic fire work and drone show.

June 2024

June was a busy and exciting month for us! The girls were out of school and we were ready for Summer to begin!!!
We started off with a week at VBS. Megan helped me lead a group, and Adalyn had her last year attending; next year, she'll be able to help!

She went to work with me while Megan babysat.

We had a cancellation in our day, which left us time to grab CFA and run by Sephora!

That night was another night of VBS fun! I do think Megan had moer fun than the kids!

The following week, Gretchen packed for her mission trip! I couldn't believe I was letting my 16 year old out of the country without me, but she was so ready and so excited!

We also spent a lot of days at the water park!

The night before she left; we headed to church to make sure all the travel documents were ready and that bags were packed and within the weight limit.

Gretchen and her friend, Annabel were ready for their trip! We dropped them off super early in the morning for their trip and for the most part I held it together really well.

Back to the water park wtih a friend.

And DJ and I got in a date night!

We went to eat and then headed to S. Congress to watch the bats come out from the bridge. I think we were too early in the season though.

Meanwhile, Gretchen was having such a great time in Honduras.

Megan and I headed out to the Moody Center for the Noah Kahan concert.

And then we went ot pick Gretchen up from the airport!

You'd think Megan was so excited to see her sister, but she ran right past her to give Ms. Jennifer a hug!

But that's okay, that meant I could hug her first!

We drove through Whataburger at 1 am, because she was starving!!

And we celebrated Father's day together!!!!

Megan's a Teenager!!!!

Megan turned 13 and she was super excited to celebrate this milestone birthday!!
Her last night as a 12 year old.

I tried to make the birthday special for her even though I was exhausted and life was busy! She woke up to balloons and presents.

Along with a sash and birthday crown.

She asked to redecorate her bedroom this year, so she got new sheets (which were too small and we had to return.)

And then started off her birthday with a doctors appointment! Ha! She had to have her cheer physical and this was the only day I could squeeze it in.

After school, she had a mini bundt cake.

We sang her happy birthday and she blew out her candle.

She really wanted to add wallpaper to her room- but we opted for these floral stickers instead and they turned out so cute!

She wanted a roller skating birthday, so we invited a few friends over and hit up the roller rink.
We decorated at home- and opted to go to the skating rink and come back home for pizza and cake.

Her friend Addie came!

Along with Carolina and Hannah.

They all skated and had the best time!

I ordered her a cake from HEB and then added some cake toppers to make it more festive and love how it turned out!

After pizza and cake, she opened presents.

We sang her Happy Birthday!

And I'm sure she made a wish to have the most fabulous year!!!

Megan is a shining light! She is seriously so fun and silly. I love that she makes us laugh, that she doesn't take herself too seriously, and that she is always happy. She works so hard at everything she does. She is committed to her sports and interests; she's kind. I wish everyone had a little bit of Megan in their life.
