We have successfully made it through our first week (well three days) of being back at school and work! . Our winter break was so nice and I so enjoyed the downtown and lazy days at home! We are slowly easing back in to the swing of being busy again. We started back on Wednesday, and just that evening had speech and musical theater, and then last night I went to the gym to workout after school.
Thankfully, DJ's schedule wasn't full this week and he was able to pick up Adalyn from school on Wednesday, and he picked up Megan so she wouldn't have to sit through speech and musical theater.
Before we headed back to school, we spent one more day soaking up each other.
Gretchen started her Monday off by working on a Dream board that she received from her grandparents for Christmas. I was so proud of her! She covered the table, put down a drop cloth and did everything all by herself! She even cleaned it all up!
That night, we surprised the girls with a night out to the movies! The girls received movie gift certificates in their Christmas stockings and we took them Monday night to see Sing!
Before we left the house, I had to take a picture of Adalyn's outfit! She's becoming quite the little three-year-old fashionista!
And after I took Addy's picture, Megan wanted her picture with her Baby Alive.
All of the girls brought their babies along with them. And on our way to find our theater, we found lots of movie posters!
The girls have been so excited to see Sing ever since they started seeing the previews on TV. In fact, Megan and Adalyn love singing "Oh, my God, look at her butt." They think it is absolutely hysterical.
Woohoo! We found our seats, and had popcorn and drinks in hand! Our theater has reclining and heated seats, so we were pretty much in heaven.
Sing was super cute! The girls loved it!
Tuesday morning, I knew that I needed to get busy! I decided to hit the gym, and all of the girls wanted to go with me so they could check out the childcare. We stayed for over an hour, and then went to the grocery store to stock up on fruits, veggies, snacks, and lunch supplies. I was so not looking forward to making lunch boxes again!
I spent the rest of the afternoon washing, cutting, and putting everything away and cleaning out our refrigerator. Sometimes, my life is totally glamorous.
Addy Pearl was excited about school starting back again! She was ready to go back and see her friends!
This week she practiced writing her name!
And, I had to share with y'all my new planner! It's probably my favorite planner ever! I had looked in to getting a Simplified Planner, but I wasn't 100% sure about the cost.
I found this one at Target, and it was exactly what I was looking for! And, it's only $15.00
The brand is Sugar Paper. And they have lots of other cute items too! (Like this journal, and this note card set.)
Each month, it has a typical calendar, and then behind it is this:
One side is for Monthly notes, and the other side is perfect for goal setting and organizing! It has a place for work goals, personal goals, health goals, financial goals, things to focus on and important dates, with a little etc. section.
Behind it is this page. These are week specific and I love that! It has a top three, to do, don't forget, to call, to email, to buy, and "this week's goal"
And on the other side is a week layout.
And I absolutely love that I can make my lists, write goals, and have it all in one spot!
Seriously this is the best planner. If you're still looking for one, then I highly recommend it!
We have a low key weekend plan, and I'm looking forward to just hanging out at home again!
All the praise hands for those reclining seats at the theatre. Fun post! Enjoy your weekend!
