Kids Book Club

Happy Monday!!!! The girls and I are home since it's Martin Luther King Day, and the schools are closed! Yay! I can definitely use a three day weekend to get life back together again!

Today, I'm bringing you a brand new blog series!!!!!
Kids Book Club!!!!!!

The girls absolutely LOVE to read! Gretchen received over 30 new books for Christmas, and she's been reading her way through them. She always has a book in her hand. She carries multiple books to school every day, has a book box full of them, has them in the car, and all over her bed, closet, dresser...... books are everywhere!!!!

And, since she loves to read so much, I thought that every once in a while, she should bring you a Kids Book Club post!
Today, she's sharing three of her favorite books!

She was so excited when I asked her to help me with this special project. I told her about it last week, and when I reminded her that we needed to write this post, she immediately went upstairs and grabbed three books, and told me they were all her very favorite.

She's going to share a Magic Tree House book, an American Girl book, and a classic!
I like Tonight on the Titanic because it has history and magic all in one. It also tells about Camelot. The magician is the creator of the Magic Treehouse and takes Jack and Annie to places back in time. In this book, Jack and Annie go to the Titanic right before it hits the ice burg and helps two children escape.

Kids should read it because they can learn about history, but they don't have to be too bored. They'll be able to read about historic events that actually happened.
Catch the Wind is a book that is mainly for girls. It's a "choose your own ending book", which means that there are no chapters. Throughout the book, you have to make a decision about what you want to do. Once you make the decision, you turn to the page it tells you to go to. It's an American Girl book that takes the reader back in time to meet Caroline.

I would recommend this book because tells you about life and takes you to Sackets Harbor, New York during the War of 1812.
The Swiss Family Robinson is about a family that gets shipwrecked. The family has to build a raft with what is left on board to go to an island. When they get to the island, they have to learn to survive. The family builds a house and survives on the island, until a ship comes along. At the end of the book a ship rescues them, and two of of the brothers leave the island.

My favorite part of the book is when they are building their house.

I would recommend this book because it's a classic and it's amazing.
........................................................................................................................................

Yay! Wasn't Kids Book Club so much fun? Do your kids enjoy reading? What's their favorite book right now?
