Happy Monday friends!!! I hope you each had a great weekend! We had an unexpected snow day on Friday! We actually didn't get a lot of snow, but it was very cold outside! And because of that, we had a lazy weekend! We hunkered down inside, watched movies, had naps, ordered pizza, and I eventually made my way out of the house to work out, and then we all went to church on Sunday.
Since, we're in a New Year, I thought we needed a new series for the blog!!! Today, I'd like to introduce you to Mad for Monday! A little bi-monthly series where I share things I'm mad about! But, not in a bad way! Like, mad about in a crazy, good way!
Twice a month, I'll share an assortment of products that I just can't get enough of! And, since you all know how much I love my essential oils, I thought it would be the best place to start!
I found the cutest little shelf at Home Goods right before Christmas. Before, I had stored all of my oils on the countertop and it was feeling cluttered. I'm mad about this shelf and I'm mad about the oils I use for my skin!
In October, I started using the ART skincare line from Young Living. The face wash and the toner are only about half way gone, so they last a long time! I've gone through the moisturizer a lot faster, because I use it twice a day. My skin is looking fabulous with my new skincare routine and I'm crazy mad over the fact that my skincare is natural, and safe for me!
I also keep a variety of oils on my shelf. All of these are good for your skin and help to even the skin tone.
Tea tree for monthly breakouts. And friends, these happen way less often (1 a month) versus what happened when I wasn't using the ART skincare system.
Lavender- I will add a drop in my palm and apply to my face after I wash it at night.
Copaiba- I often use this as a natural deodorant alternative.
Frankincense- This oil is so good for your complexion!
Ylang Ylang- this oil is a favorite for healthy, shiny hair!
Rose Ointment- I smear this on chapped lips, cracked heels, and my skin when it's feeling dry.
Next up on my Mad For list: Thieves Fruit & Veggie Cleaner. We've had this product since last Spring, and I use it to wash all of my fruits and veggies. I fill up the sink, add 1-2 capfuls and let my fruits/veggies soak. After they soak, I rinse, cut, and store. I love the veggie cleaner because we aren't always able to buy organic (although we do try) and I love knowing that I can get my fruits and veggies super clean!
We had french toast for breakfast last week, and I added a drop of Cinnamon Bark and Nutmeg to the egg mixture!
This snow day blend helped to keep my kids calm and under control on our snow day!
Frankincense to improve attitude and uplift spirits.
Idaho Blue Spruce brings about a feeling of balance and grounding.
Grapefruit is refreshing and uplifting and induces relaxation.
One of my favorite oil tips for helping your bathroom to smell fresh and clean is to add a few drops of Purification to the inside roll of toilet paper!
And finally, each night, i'm pretty mad about these oils I keep on my nightstand!
Thieves helps to boost my immune system naturally.
Cedarwood helps me to fall fast asleep and to sleep well throughout the night!
So, these are the oils I'm Mad About!!! Have you tried essential oils? Which ones are you mad about?
Love his series !
