This past weekend Texas played Baylor at home. Since we missed the OU/Texas game, we were excited that we were all feeling better and we were ready to cheer on the Longhorns!
The game was at 2:30 on Saturday, so the girls and I stayed home to get some things done, and made it to the stadium around 1. I let the girls choose if they wanted to tailgate or go down to Bevo Boulevard, and they choose the Boulevard for the inflatables. They jumped a bit and threw footballs.
Then we found a corn hole game, so each of the girls took turns playing.
Chase bank was giving out popsicles, and we were relieved, because it was so hot!
We found a blow up Bevo and took a picture of course!
And then we went to see the real Bevo on the field.
We headed over to watch the cheerleaders, and Megan did her flips.
While Adalyn stood and watched them practice.
This girl has been a trooper this season!
We took the little girls in to babysitting, and Gretchen and I were hungry so we made our way to the opposite end zone to the club level.
We grabbed a bite to eat, watched the first quarter, and then had dessert.
Churros and ice cream on gigantic cookies........ Texas football is spoiling us.
We headed out to our seats during the 2nd quarter, but it was still so hot. Gretchen decided she didn't want to sit out in the stands at all, and I can't blame her, so at half time, we made our way back to the club level, and couldn't find a seat inside, since everyone had come in during the half. We found a little spot on the floor, and made ourselves comfy while we waited for the 3rd quarter to start. She was super hot, so she was drinking lots of water and resting.
The game was a nail bitter y'all! Baylor had the ball with a few seconds left on the clock, and had our defense not stepped up, we would've lost the ball game.
But, that score looks good and put us in the top 7 of the college football ratings.
After the game, we played around on the field before we went to see DJ in his office, made it home, grabbed a bite to eat, and went to bed!
We have a bye weekend this week, but we'll pick up play again next Saturday against Oklahoma State.
