I would use the colors of purple and turqouise with touches of pink. Place balloons everywhere; maybe flanking your fireplace or on the cake table. Purchase purple plates, turquoise napkins, and pink cups.... mix and match these colors as much as possible, so you don't go overboard with the "cartoony" theme.
